How to apply decorative bark

Decorative bark can be applied at any time of year. We recommend applying a layer at least 2 inches thick for maximum effectiveness. Moisten soil lightly before laying down the mulch to help it set. To help you know how much you’ll need, one tractor scoop here at Luis’ Nursery is about 1 cubic yard. This will cover 150 square feet at approximately 2-inches thick. Don’t worry, you don’t have to put all that dirt in bags or your car – we can deliver it right where it needs to be!
