Spring is here at Luis Nursery. Nothing says spring quite like rows of beautiful, fragrant flowers. As you walk the aisles the fragrant blooms transport your sense in time. Breathe deep and soak up memories of childhood, travels, adventures and days spent in nature or your garden. The nursery is full of beautiful, healthy plants that will bring a smile to your face and inspiration to your heart for your garden dreams.
Unlike traditional box stores, nurseries are full of life and beautiful attractions. The plants at a traditional store aren’t always the most robust or disease-free. Our nursery has access to healthier plants, and we can nurture then from seedlings to become healthier, and more disease resistant mature plants. Purchasing a well-loved and cared for plant will save you the copious amounts of time and frustration growing plants from seed into maturity.
Here at Luis Nursery, we pride ourselves on being knowledgeable about all things gardening. As garden experts we can help you answer any questions you might have. We can help you recognize and contend with different plant diseases and help you choose plants that will work best for your property and how to care for them.
Extensive knowledge of local plants, trees and shrubs allows us to help educate our fellow gardeners on native plants in our area. We can help you find the best native plants that are already adapted to the temperatures and climate of the San Joaquin and Central Valley and will require less fertilizer, water and pesticides to maintain. Native plants will always fare better than non-native and we are happy to help you choose the best ones for your garden.
Luis Nursery is a fun place to bring you the whole family. As you walk through the nursery you can discuss as a family all the different plants and talk about your favorites. Which flower smells the best to you? Which color blooms are your favorite? Many of our families love to check out our statues!

- Our Newest Addition – Introducing the Gorilla
Many of you have seen our other statues, and we are excited to have recently added a Gorilla statue to the collection. This friendly guy is ready to hold your favorite plant, your purse, or whatever snacks you’re willing to send his way during your photo op. He is eager to join your photo memories.
Another great photo spot is our Koi pond. The lush greenery, colorful fish, rocks and stone will make a gorgeous backdrop for your family photo. Make sure you all get in the photo! Grab a staff member if you need a camera man! We’re happy to help you remember your visit.
Lastly, before you leave don’t forget to say hello to Ringo! Ringo is our desert tortoise you’re welcome to come and visit in his enclosure.
